Today I am talking about one of the greatest villains of the AoD Multiverse, with a guest from the Dragon Tide Chronicles novel also being mentioned.
First off is the mighty Ramok, from Dragon Tide Chronicles, one of my favorite creations of all time.
Ramok is the oldest known revealed villain in the series, and currently the most powerful. Dating back to the very founding days of Aladoria, Ramok was once a servant of Order, and along with his brethren the Grandfather Dragons, beings of metal and energy; protected the world from the forces of Chaos and nurtured the beautiful planet. However, the forces of Chaos sought to destroy Order and Aladoria, and so began seeking a worthy puppet, choosing and infecting Ramok with dark powers that twisted his once holy vessel and transformed it into a monster that only existed to serve Chaos.
He slaughtered all of his kin, save for his brother, who fought him in one final battle, the end resulting in the sealing of both dragons, hopefully for all eternity. He appears at the end of Dawn Rising, the first novel in the series, his seal broken and once again rampages across Aladoria, eventually temporarily defeated by his brother. but is making an attempt to return during Dialadect Resurgence.
He towers over the average mountain, and his power is almost comparable to the might of a god, with his mere return to the realm, great earthquakes and tsunamis were unleashed. He is the oldest villain in any universe/multiverse I have ever created.
A song that helps me think of Ramok
Next is The Mad One from The Shattered Realms, the second oldest multiverse in all of AoD.
In regards to official AoD Multiverses, The Mad One is like the ultimate villain of the entire series of games. The God of Chaos, he has only one ambition, and that is to bring all of Order into ruin. Wielding unimaginable power, his first act of war on Order is to destroy Oxorin, the main world of the Shattered Realms series. He then begins to consume all of Order into a mysterious realm known as 'Brink'. Dark violet and crimson energy twists and wreaths in that dimension, and destroys all normal matter it touches. The true main antagonist of the original Axis of Destruction worlds, his debut in the series begins in the Genesis of Oxorin series, and only makes his final canon appearance in the massive RPG, 'The Brink Wars', in which the main character of the series, Vifur Heltimen leads a crusade against the forces of the Brink in a final attempt to destroy the One Who Is Mad once and for all.
Most villains don't come close to achieving total victory. However, in the final battle, you're not fighting to stop him. You're just fighting to survive, as everything crumbles into nothing and the Mad One, a god beyond reckoning, unleashes his ultimate power to destroy you. The only thing left to do is fight and cling to life, as you fight not just against Chaos, but Decay and even your very own Demise.
For who can stop the most basic of all things? All things begin. All things end. Even you.
