Working on Shattered Realms Mortal Tale!
So with the completion of Ute'quera's battler design, (this)
I thought I would talk about the lore of the Dragons of SR:MT and the over reaching Shattered Realms lore.
Now Dragons, depending on what world we're talking, are in general your European style dragons, with varying styles of form, though strange and unusual variations exist. However the dragons with four legs, wings, tail, and head, those are what I would call the True Dragons, which are rare. The more common, less powerful but still threatening types are the Drakes. Below them are Wyverns and Dragonkin, humanoid dragons.
Those are your usual kind of dragon. There exists others even still. The most vile of them are the Accursed or Twisted Dragons, most commonly known as Black Dragons. They are distinguished by a very prominent deep dark purple or blue/violet, rarely are they truly black, the most corrupt of them are true black dragons. There are more, but I will not mention them here.
The origin of the dragons comes back to the foundation of life on the worlds themselves. There were once two races, the Dragons, created by the Primordial of Order, Umetherial, and the Dijra, human like beings which would become the template for gods later, created by the Primordial of Chaos, Apothis.
Apothis, not being one to like such things as Order, wanted the two races to destroy each other.
Hey all, just thought I'd give an update! I'm working on my to do list, and sometime I intend to make official graphics for the intro, so there's that. I'll probably livestream those when I get the chance.
I'm gonna be focusing on developing the game in terms of battle balance and region exploration pace. I would like the game world to allow extensive exploration, even with the limited amount of land available to explore. Inter connectivity is something I want to touch up on sometime.
The Colossus Concept art is also done, which is awesome and I'm glad I was able to design a decent but still minimalist background, I hope to provide you guys with more concept art as the weeks go by, but at the moment I can't show you guys much, as things are still heavy in development.
There is so much left to do, such as working on Ute'quera's boss battle design and adding to its boss theme for the final encounter. I'm glad you guys have shown me such support for the project, and I hope to have more shown later. See you soon!
I play video games, write, make art, create music, design video games, and have a deep love of fantasy.
