Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale will launch its demo on 8/31/16 at 12:30 PM. We have a timer now going on SR:MT's Demo Page, which you can find here. Or you can just read this post!
So if you all have followed my Twitter, I may have touched on the fact that my Hard Drive failed and I've been on a forced Hiatus since. Thankfully I have a new one, so the projects will hopefully resume within the next few days.
I have had some fun just relaxing and drawing, and I have got a lot of stuff to show and work on. Hope you are all doing well and I hope to be back in business soon. Take care!
As of now, Awaken has hit 200,623 views. This project has been the most successful project I have ever launched to date. Dragon Tide Chronicles, an online novel I launched a year or more ago, only reached 36,842 reads.
About a year ago, last spring semester, I was on the road to graduating from highschool, and the days just were going so fast back then. I had recently started working on Far East, and I was looking for something to do to pass my time while the other devs worked out things. To that end, I went back to my previous roots in RPG Maker and worked on XP edition. Taking a trip outside, I began pondering various little concepts, and the seeds of the world of AwaKen were born. I began slowly building the concept of AwaKen for a number of months, Awaken himself was literally one of the first things invented in my first phases of development.
I eventually started up a post on the RPG Maker community, promoting the game's existence. The game took further changes and developments, and eventually I turned to Google + out of curiosity. People on YouTube and the internet in general seemed to hate it for some reason, I decided to find out why. I've come to love G+ as one of my more active social media sites, and I wouldn't trade it. It was amazing.
The game went through many months of countless changes, until I finally released the first demo of the game, which unfortunately ended in a less than optimal outcome. I decided to completely revamp the project, and now several months into it, I have finally begun making major strides towards a more stronger and enjoyable game, at least in my books. Seeing the feedback and comments about the game have more than sufficed to keep this engine burning strong. With the additional boost of SR:MT's development going well, I haven't felt this good about game development since my first game and Far East, both were incredible experiences.
I've put a lot of heart and passion into many projects, and AwaKen isn't nearly close to my first. However, I cannot thank everyone nearly enough so far who has aided me in my quest to create this fantasy game project and make it a reality.
I'm so happy right now. To think that something I once considered a mere side project that would never amount to anything has reached a following of 55 on G+, with so many views, countless comments and suggestions, makes me want to cry. Moments and milestones like this make everything worth the frustration and anger at the failures.
AwaKen: DiS has come so far and changed so much in the course of pretty much a year. Thanks to everyone who supported me so far and continues to support me. I hope to have a demo out by the end of the year for sure, and I hope the game will realize the ambitions I have set for it.
More content for AwaKen should be coming in the next few days, expect more development livestreams on my YouTube and Livestream.com accounts!
Until then, my name is AoDLegacy, and I'll see ya next time. ...Now I really should sleep -_-
For those of you not already aware of this game's existence, allow me to finally and fully explain in detail what SR:MT is.
SR:MT, or Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale, is the resurrection of a very old project dating back to when AoD first went live on YouTube. Back when AoD was launched in 2011, I was working on a project by the same name: Axis of Destruction. This is currently why I call myself AoDLegacy. What I do now is in honor of it, or in another perspective, is the legacy of Axis of Destruction as it was.
Now let me explain what kind of world we're dealing with, and then I'll get into the game's mechanics.
In the official AoD Multiverse Timeline, it occurs in the far future of the original Axis of Destruction, which now goes by Shattered Realms. The world is now slowly recovering from a great state of entropy, but at the same time, monsters begin to reemerge and become a great threat to civilization, dragons can once again be seen flying in the skies, and the time of Chaos... and heroes... has returned.
However, there are unseen forces at work, forces seek to completely destroy balance. While the prophesies foretell in times of Chaos that heroes will rise to stem the tide... they have not come. The heroes of legend have not been reborn, and dark days return to the world.
Working on story, areas, etc for AwaKen Descent Into Slumber
AoDLIVE Livestream Page
Public Demo is out now on the website!
AwaKen: Descent Into Slumber has taken a long time to reach this point, but I think the game's good enough for the general public to bludgeon into a bloody pulp.
From various playthroughs I have seen, the game could last as long as 30 minutes in this demo. Not the longest game demo in the world, but it's not terribly short considering how much of the built game is in the demo. The full episode release is still a good ways away, but hopefully this version of the demo will give a much better impression of the game.
I will be releasing annual development builds in the Secret Demo page of AwaKen, which only people who use the Playtest Register on the website will be able to access. For now, the demo page is going to be the same as the public one, only because the game has not yet reached a point where I can introduce a new version for playtesters only.
The perks of being a playtester are basically that you will see more of the game more often, and you will be informed directly by me that a new version has been out. In order to play the game, you will need to download the RPG Maker RTP (run time package) in order for the game to run correctly.
I hope to see you all and what your opinions are soon!

It's not every day I talk about this...
So ultimately many people's first question they will have once the final version of the game comes out, is where the hell did I get this story from?
Well it started when I was working on the Far East project with Down&OUT Development, a group that is either inactive or thinks they can function without their writer (which they'd be dead wrong to assume). I wanted to work on something while the guys were busy (or not) working on our major game. I thought it would be a cool thing to make a side project that took a more traditional route like Demi Dawn, a game I never really did well with (combat was awesome though in that game, the story telling was some of the worst I ever did)
The initial problem I had was coming up with a story. I forget how I came up with the story, but it may have something to do with me playing with a ball of mud (I'm autistic, I do stuff like that) and imagining myself as a mighty being destroying a planet (ok so my damn imagination is strange). As you will progress through AwaKen, it's going to be apparent what the message is from what the main antagonist has to say.
As the world of AwaKen was developed, things started breaking down, and I gradually began retreating more and more into developing AwaKen. Once Far East went down the drain, I really started focusing efforts on the game. Initially the player started in the first dungeon, and for a while things were good. Eventually I decided to make it a trip to the dungeon that would start the adventure. That area would become known as Dryrock Plains, which will be the area after the first dungeon. I then gradually began working on a third edition, starting the player off in the area known as High Mountain. For a while I've been tinkering with it, and in the last couple of months it finally took off.
This year I have finally made a demo available to play, and although I've yet to receive any feedback (which was no small discouragement), I hope people will enjoy this story when I finally finish it.
My distant plan is to attempt to release to Steam Greenlight (if Greenlight is still around by the time the game is completed) and hope for a positive response to the game. Once that part starts up, I intend to resume and relaunch Far East, which I consider one of my many great ideas. Using whatever success from AwaKen I achieve, I will launch Far East and attempt to assemble a dev team to reincarnate it.
All of this is of course really early to talk about, but I wanted to discuss it as a well thought out plan can mean the difference from failure and success.
The Demo is Out!
If you would like to play the demo, please apply in the Playtest Register (here) and I will send the link as soon as I can, if I accept your application. For those of you who have never seen the game before, here is a video!
I hope you show some interest in the game, I've been working hard to get something playable for people for a while now.
I'll be using my Aiptek today to draw, might be a little slower today :/ Gonna be doing an AwaKen concept artwork first, and then moving on to a Doragon Konpaku page (Maybe)
Link is here as always, or you could watch the AoD LIVE tab.
We have a new design to go along with web backgrounds, Weebly's new feature. It's a interesting change but one you will not likely notice. What you'll definitely notice the difference in is the navigation. If you want to find one of the projects, there is now a simple way to view them:
the Projects tab in the Navigation. Hover over it and it will show you all of our projects as of now. We've also reinstated a proper Contact Us so that people know where to message us, and I must say Home looks much better now.
In other news, AwaKen is coming along well. Ish. The first level is about halfway complete, it will be officially half way once I complete the next cutscene, which I have been preparing for by creating media for it, such as a new music track and a cutscene picture.
Doragon Konpaku updated on DeviantArt, I'll get back to this version of it soon enough. So for those of you who follow the comic, head over to DeviantArt and you can see the new pages now.
First off, I have a new song for you to check out, called Unplugged Song (original, yes I know).
Also, we have some new updates to Doragon Konpaku, including a filler page to hype the upcoming fight in the series. Next to last fight before the real interesting fights come into play!
You can check out the comic here!
The AwaKen video game goes slowly, not much has been done as college makes things difficult to get everything done.
In further news, Far East seems to have been cut off by Down&OUT, but I intend to relaunch after I finish AwaKen. So it's gone for now, but it'll make its return soon.
You can check out the information on AwaKen here!
Also starting a new let's play of Dino Run, hope you'll like.
It takes someone very bored to make this lame of a joke in a video game. Thank goodness I'm not stupid enough to make this a thing right? Riiight?
Going live here! http://www.livestream.com/aodentertainmentlive
Will be covering AwaKen art.
AwaKen's official intro, please support AwaKen by following AwaKen on the google + page, liking the video, and subscribing to see more!
I will be covering these three things:
Doragon Konpaku color livestreaming along with any questions you may have on the comic,
possibly going to talk about the AwaKen project along with some of my other games.
Also probably going to play another episode of Lunar Wish.
Head over to the livestream: here
How is everyone? I've got some good news... and some bad news as well.
Demi Dawn is suspended as of now. While I enjoyed working on it, I wasn't getting enough feedback for it to be worth the time.
Here's the good news. I have two NEW titles in development. One is called AwaKen, in very early development. The second one is Far East, being developed by the Down&Out team. *I'm a member*.
I hope to be able to give you guys some actual news regarding these two titles in the near future.
I've teamed up with people on RPG Maker fourms, and we are looking for a pixel artist! We SERIOUSLY need this artist as soon as possible. Without them, we cannot make tilesets and pixel avatars for our game.
Please send a email to firstname.lastname@example.org
and provide examples of your work. I will then make a reccomend you to Alex if I like what I see. This is currently NOT a commercial project, but it is not out of the question that IF it does well, we may sell it.
If you aren't skilled with tilesets but your freind/s are, please forward them to us!
Help us make this happen!
I play video games, write, make art, create music, design video games, and have a deep love of fantasy.
