I guess I'll be doing these to keep people interested in the game, and to just provide some more info on the game.
So here we go.
Who remembers the Introduction of AwaKen? I hope you do. Cause that's what we're targeting today. SPOILERS.
With his very first strike, our world was shattered. From then on, it was a battle for everything.
The world of Ardor used to be a perfect place. No pain, or suffering. Everyone got what they desired. No death existed. Then came Awaken. With his very first attack, he split the world in half, one half lost to the void forever. So what is this attack? It's called Neutral, and is his only known attack. The light seen in this picture and the multicolored energy you see is Neutral itself descending on the world. Neutral has only been seen once, and the consequences forever changed Ardor.
If an attack like Neutral hit our own world, it would completely destroy it. So how did Ardor survive being blown in two? Gravity would make the half sphere become a sphere (and completely destroy the current surface) in most logical senses. Yet that's not what you see in this next picture.
In this picture, we see Ardor. Is its edge solid? That would be a definitive no, and you would know this by playing the demo. The outline is full of noise closely matching the colors of the planet. These 'noise' artifacts are actually the bits and pieces left over from the other side floating in the atmosphere. The planet is literally half of a sphere, something which would make little sense in a zero gravity environment like space. So why hasn't gravity reformed the sphere? Because of the Orb of Time. One of its mechanics which is fascinating, is the ability to memorize. It memorizes places, events, and people. Because the memory of the existing half still is within the Orb, it has not been altered by gravity or time. This 'memorization' is how eternal life on Ardor works. The Orb memorizes the person, and when the natural cycle would take place, re-remembers the person and literally puts them back into existence.
Regarding the multicolored pattern you see in the second picture? That's the remnants of Neutral. It's still there. If you were to go to the Edge of Ardor, you would be able to see the flowing energy through the skies of Ardor.
That's what the Edge Energy looks like from Ardor. Dozens of fragments float around the edge, and perhaps small towns dwell on the floating rocks.
Thanks for sitting here and listening to me ramble about the world I'm trying to create, hope you enjoyed it, and I'll see you with another Lore Blog!
